Twistly + Zapier · Workflow
Beta
Turn every new file in a folder into a PowerPoint deck, automatically
Drop a PDF, Word or PowerPoint file into Google Drive or Dropbox, or email it to yourself, and Twistly turns it into an editable .pptx deck inside your Zap.
Zapier: a paid plan (Professional or higher), because Free runs two-step Zaps only. Twistly: a Pro or Team plan, for the API key. The Twistly Zapier app is in Beta.

Cómo funciona
How the Zap runs
Five steps, about three minutes end to end. Step 3 is a deliberate wait: Twistly needs about 90 seconds to build the deck, so Get Presentation must run after it.
01 Trigger · Google Drive
New File in Folder
Fires when a file is added to the folder you pick.
02 Action · Twistly
Create Presentation From File
Sends the file (PDF, DOCX or PPTX, up to 25 MB) and returns a generation ID.
3 min
03 Wait · Delay
Delay for 3 minutes
Twistly builds the deck in about 90 s. Keep this step.
04 Search · Twistly
Get Presentation
Uses the generation ID from step 2 and returns the .pptx link.
05 Action · Google Drive
Upload File
Saves the .pptx to a different folder.
Who it’s for
Is this Zap for you?
Reports, briefs and old decks keep arriving as files, and someone turns each one into slides. The Zap does the first pass as soon as the file lands.
Who it’s for
- Analysts and consultants who turn every finished report into a summary deck.
- Agencies that get client briefs as PDF or Word files.
- Teams with old decks who drop legacy .pptx files in to rebuild them in one template.
Who it’s not for
- You convert a file now and then, not every week. Use the PDF to PPT converter on the web
- You want to edit the text before it becomes slides. Use the Word to PPT converter instead
- You need a Google Slides file, not .pptx. Open the deck with the free PPT to Google Slides converter

| Step 1 · TriggerThe Zap keeps converting its own decks | Save decks to a different folder from the one the Zap watches. | Turn the Zap off, move the .pptx files out of the watched folder, then turn it back on. |
| Step 2 · CreateThe file is rejected | Send PDF, DOCX or PPTX files up to 25 MB. Add a Filter on the file extension. | Split or compress the file, then drop it in again. |
| Step 1 · TriggerEvery attachment becomes a deck, logos too | Use Search keywords in the Gmail trigger, plus a Filter that lets through only .pdf, .docx and .pptx. | Delete the extra decks, tighten the search, then test with one email. |
| CuentaThe Twistly step fails with “unauthorized” | Connect Twistly with the email your Twistly plan is on. | Reconnect Twistly in Zapier under Apps, then replay the failed run. |
| CuentaThe daily limit of 100 decks is reached | Each API key starts up to 100 decks every 24 hours. A re-run makes a new deck. | Wait for the 24-hour window to reset. Failed decks don’t count. |
