Privacy Policy (Google Slides Add-on)
This Privacy Policy explains how Twistly for Google Slides (the “Add-on”) collects, uses, shares and protects your information, including data we receive from Google APIs (“Google User Data”). It applies only to the Add-on. Our website, web app and Microsoft PowerPoint add-in are covered by their own privacy policies.
The Add-on is provided by Apps Do Wonders LLC, a limited liability company based in Dallas, Texas (“Apps Do Wonders”, “we”, “us” or “our”). We are responsible for processing your personal data under this policy. For any questions or requests, contact us at support@twistly.ai or through our Formulario de contacto.
Applicable law and legal bases
We process personal data in accordance with the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (“TDPSA”), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and other applicable privacy laws.
We process personal data only when at least one of the following legal bases applies:
- you have given your consent;
- the processing is necessary to perform our contract with you or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract;
- the processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation;
- the processing is necessary for our legitimate interests, provided your interests and fundamental rights do not override them.
What data we collect
Google User Data
When you install the Add-on, Google asks you to grant it specific permissions. We access only the Google User Data needed for the features you use:

The Add-on does not access your other presentations, Gmail, Calendar, Contacts or any other Google data.
Data you provide
When you use the Add-on, you may submit prompts, text, outlines, files and settings (“User Content”). When you contact support, you provide your name, email address and the details of your request.
Payment data
If you buy a subscription, payments are processed by Raya o PayPal. We do not receive or store your full card details.
Technical data
To keep the Add-on secure and working, we collect limited technical data: IP address, approximate country derived from the IP address, browser type, error reports and feature usage events. Error reports contain only technical error details and do not include the content of your presentations.
How we use your data
Google User Data
We use Google User Data only to provide and improve the user-facing features of the Add-on that you request: generating and editing slides, text, images and speaker notes, applying templates, and managing your account and subscription.
We do not:
- sell Google User Data;
- use Google User Data for advertising, including personalized or retargeted ads;
- use Google User Data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes;
- transfer Google User Data to data brokers, information resellers or business partners;
- use Google User Data for any purpose unrelated to the features of the Add-on.
We use your email address to send you messages about your account, subscription and service changes. We send marketing emails only if you have agreed to receive them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Other data
We use the other data described above to provide the Add-on, process payments, answer support requests, prevent fraud and abuse, keep the Add-on secure, and meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.
How we share data
We share data only with service providers (sub-processors) that help us run the Add-on. They act on our instructions, under contracts that require them to protect the data. We share Google User Data only with the providers marked below, and only to deliver the features you request.

Our AI providers process data under their API terms, which prohibit using it to train their models.
We may also disclose data if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of users, or as part of a merger or acquisition. In that case, this policy continues to apply to Google User Data.
Human access, AI training and Limited Use
Human access
Our employees do not read Google User Data unless:
- you give us explicit permission, for example by sharing a presentation in a support request;
- it is necessary for security purposes, such as investigating a bug or abuse;
- it is required to comply with applicable law; or
- the data has been aggregated and anonymized and is used for internal operations.
Where access is needed, it is limited to authorized staff, subject to confidentiality obligations, and logged.
AI and machine learning
We do not use Google User Data to develop, improve or train generalized or non-personalized AI or machine learning models. Neither do our AI providers: they process Google User Data only to generate the content you request.
Limited Use disclosure
Twistly’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, and to the Google Workspace APIs User Data and Developer Policy.
Retention and deletion
We keep data only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy:
- Presentation content and generated content: stored for no longer than 90 days, then deleted.
- Account information (email address, name, profile picture): kept while you have a Twistly account and deleted within 30 days after you delete your account.
- Payment and invoicing records: kept as long as required by tax and accounting law.
- Support requests: kept while needed to resolve your request and for our records, then deleted.
Deleting your data and revoking access
To delete your account and the data associated with it, email support@twistly.ai from the email address linked to your account. We will confirm deletion within 30 days.
You can revoke the Add-on’s access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. After you revoke access, the Add-on can no longer read or change your Google data. Revoking access does not delete data we already hold; to delete it, contact us as described above.
Seguridad
We protect data with appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and logging. Data is stored on Amazon Web Services servers. No internet transmission is completely secure. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you without undue delay and explain the steps we are taking.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete your data;
- restrict or object to processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time;
- opt out of the sale of personal data (we do not sell personal data);
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@twistly.ai. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, but we would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
Children
The Add-on is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Transferencias internacionales
We and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. When we transfer personal data from the EU or other regions with data transfer rules, we use appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date. If we change how we use Google User Data, we will notify you before the change takes effect and, where required, ask for your consent.
